The Directorate is headed by a Director General, reporting to the Cabinet Secretary through the Principal Secretary.

Main Objectives

Minimize the cost of public debt management and borrowing over the long-term taking account of risk
Promote the development of the market institutions for Government debt securities
Ensure the sharing of the benefits and costs of public debt between the current and future generations

Technical Departments

Resource Mobilization

(Front Office) Responsible for mobilizing domestic and foreign financial resources.

Debt Policy, Strategy & Risk Management

(Middle Office) Develops debt strategy, manages risk, and ensures effective policy implementation.

Debt Recording and Settlement

(Back Office) Records, processes, and settles debt transactions efficiently and accurately.
